Biography:	In the 1970's I found a stained glass lamp in an antique store I couldn't live without and couldn't afford so I went to school at the Museums in Stonybrook to learn to make my own. It took years before I was ready to make lamps but I was instantly obsessed with leaded glass. The creative process in producing a window changes the piece with each phase and the final product is always such a surprise, I can never wait to see it. I love the way the sun reflects rainbows in a room through a stained glass piece, I love the subtle hues it casts on a cloudy day and the "all lit up "affect it has from the outside at night. I love it next to plants and wood and even near a stark white wall. I love the character it adds architecturally to a space and the warmth and charm it captures. I sell my glass mainly through ebay, I used to do commissioned work but found it to be very stiffling, through ebay I can create whatever I want and hope that the people who buy it enjoy it even half as much as I did making it. As a child all I wanted to be was Pocohontas riding the plains on horseback, I'm happy as an adult I found something as joyful and liberating to do.
